在日本水份含50%的稱之為「あんぽ柿」,而水份僅25%~30%且外表有白色粉狀的結晶稱之為「枯露柿」,即台灣的柿乾。松里地區上井尻(かみいじり),是ころ柿的發源地,在江戶時代就已經被拿來當做貢品,現今的山梨縣甲州市是日本柿干著名的產區之一。

甲州枯露柿從新鮮柿子採收、去皮、風乾、整形、日曬到包裝以手工方式作業,早在江戶時代就十分著名,至今依然是日本著名柿干產地之一,手工製作品質優,果粒大,送禮自用兩相宜。
